Sips celebrates the contribution young people make to feeding and supporting their community. This year’s focus is a lively cocktail reception featuring top artisans, chefs and mixologist preparing their signature dishes and craft cocktails. This festive gathering will include Jose Andres, Joan Nathan and Alice Waters and speakers from Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen. Join your community in changing lives and find sustainable solutions to poverty.

For a ticket price of $200, 100 exclusive guests will attend a pre-party at 6:30 pm preceding the opening of Sips on January 24. $115 of the ticket is tax deductible.
The purchase price includes both Alice Waters’ new book, The Art of Simple Food II: Recipes, Flavor and Inspiration from the New Kitchen Garden, and either Eric Asimov’s new book, How to Love Wine: A Memoir and Manifesto or PBS’s Jewish Cooking in America with Joan Nathan.
Guests will be whisked to a private room on the 6th floor where they will meet with Alice Waters, visionary chef and owner of Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, and Eric Asimov, acclaimed New York Times chief wine critic, for a book signing. VIPs will receive an exclusive sampling of Virginia wines from Early Mountain Vineyard and RdV Vineyard, and hors d’oeuvres prepared on the spot by several leading chefs in the DC area. Owned by Jean and Steve Case, Early Mountain Vineyards is committed to elevating Virginia as a leading wine region of the world. Led by Rutger de Vink, RdV Vineyard has crafted internationally acclaimed Virginian wines in Bordeaux-style.
All proceeds benefit DC Central Kitchen and Martha’s Table: $70 of the ticket price is tax deductible; $115 is tax deductible for the VIP ticket.
