After much deliberation and monumental efforts by so many to have our Suppers go on, we are making the decision to officially cancel the Sunday Suppers this weekend. The safety of hosts, guests, chefs, and volunteers are our top priority. Some Suppers will be rescheduled, and a small few are planning to move forward on Sunday.

If you were due to attend a Supper this Sunday, please connect directly with your host(s) who will have full details from the Sips & Suppers committee and staff.

All proceeds benefit Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen: For $600 ticket, $500 of the ticket price is tax deductible; for $645 ticket, $545 of the ticket price is tax deductible.

In its eighth year, Suppers features renowned chefs from the DC region, from across the country, and some from across the world, preparing extraordinary meals in homes throughout the city to help address the issues of homelessness and poverty in our nation’s capital. Chefs, working together in pairs, donate their time and skills to participate in these incomparable evenings while hosts graciously provide their houses for the evening. And guests get to watch and chat with the chefs as they prepare the meal. The highlight of Suppers is great food and wine, and stimulating conversation.

During the meal, dinner hosts and representatives from Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen lead discussions about nourishing our health, economy and environment. Almost all food and wine is donated. Wine is provided by some of the world’s leading vineyards and wineries. And volunteers graciously help serve the meal.

Suppers have proven to be a warm and hospitable evening filled with a loyal following. Each dinner is small with approximately 20 seats available. If you would like to be invited to one of the Suppers, kindly go the Eventbrite website and indicate your interest in attending. Register early! In the past four years, all of the dinners have sold out.
